What is blood pressure and how can I control?

High blood pressure - hypertension - means that the blood pressure is in higher level than the recommended level. High blood pressure rarely shows any symptoms, so even you might feel well, you might have the high blood pressure. High blood pressure increases your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.
Normally your blood pressure should be below 140/85. But if you've had a heart attack, stroke, have diabetes or are diagnosed with coronary heart disease, your blood pressure should be below 130/80.A simple way of reducing of high blood pressure is to reduce the amount of salt you eat everyday and avoiding processed food, which contains high sodium.
