Amalaki (Emblica Officinalis) benifits

Amalaki (Emblica Officinalis) is a small tree that’s native to tropical southeastern Asia, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and the Mascarene Islands. Also known as Indian gooseberry, Amalaki bears a small round fruit (about ½ to 1” in diameter) that’s one of nature’s richest sources of antioxidants. In fact, its juice has about 20 times more vitamin C than orange juice. Research has shown that the fruit has both antibacterial and antiviral properties.
In the Ayurvedic healing tradition, Amalaki is considered the most powerful rejuvenating medicine. In Sanskrit, Amalaki means “the sustainer,” and it’s used to nourish the blood, skin, liver and bones. It’s frequently recommended for a wide variety of debilitating conditions.
Amalaki fruit is extremely nutritious and well known among Ayurvedic practitioners for being the only food that contains five of the six essential tastes (rasas): sour, sweet, bitter, pungent and astringent. It lacks only the salty taste. This is a valuable property because in Ayurveda, a balanced diet needs to contain all six tastes at every meal to create optimal health.

What is the Schizophrenia?

Science and Technology can change or move forward the human life. That’s why there are so many technology come in day by day. Medical science is also going forward with the development of other technology. Neuroscience is one of the most important topics now a day. Neuroscience is the scientific study of the nervous system. This nervous system is composed of a network of neurons and other supportive cells.

Human can lost his important memory due to the problems of brain. This is called Schizophrenia. After long time research the scientists have found out the reasons for lost memory. Due to this Schizophrenia a man can lost his lovely beautiful past memory and he can not remember anything.

There is no known single cause of schizophrenia. Many diseases, such as heart disease, result from interplay of genetic, behavioral, and other factors; and this may be the case for schizophrenia as well. Scientists do not yet understand all of the factors necessary to produce schizophrenia, but all the tools of modern biomedical research are being used to search for genes, critical moments in brain development, and other factors that may lead to the illness.

Some scientists in Britain have given some new information about Schizophrenia. They have found that there are some different structures in human brain. There are certain activities in the brain for those people who have the probability to have this disease.

The scientists at Nottingham University in UK have presents their data and information at European Neuroscience Forum which has been held in Amsterdam. They said that the brain affected by Schizophrenia is slightly different from the unaffected one and this difference is the symptom for the Schizophrenia.

If we treat at early stage it might be possible to cure from this disease. Antipsychotic drugs have proven to be crucial in relieving the psychotic symptoms of schizophrenia hallucinations, delusions, and incoherence but are not consistent in relieving the behavioral symptoms of the disorder. Even when patients with schizophrenia are relatively free of psychotic symptoms, many still have extraordinary difficulty with communication, motivation, self-care, and establishing and maintaining relationships with others.

How to fight with Diarrhea?

  • Take a teaspoon of paste made from equal parts powdered ginger, powdered cumin, and powdered cinnamon mixed with honey three times a day.
  • Avoid milk. When you have diarrhea, you temporarily lose the ability to digest lactose, a milk sugar. So while you have the runs, dairy products would not be absorbed. In fact, they make diarrhea even worse.
  • Most importantly, people with diarrhea need to drink plenty of fluids so they do not become dehydrated due to the excessive losses of fluid and electrolytes in the stool. Gatorade and similar sports drinks enriched with vitamins and minerals can be very helpful in such cases.
  • Make a mixture by adding four tablespoons of honey with 8 ounces of water. This is a good and one of the simple home remedies for diarrhea.
  • Carrot soup is another effective home remedy for diarrhea. It supplies water to combat dehydration, replenishes sodium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, sulphur and magnesium, supplies pectin and coats the intestine to allay inflammation. It checks the growth of harmful intestinal bacteria and prevents vomitting. Carrot Soup is very effective fir diarrhea.
  • Lemon juice Drinking the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon in a large glass of water three to five times a day will kill off the pathogens causing the diarrhea. For prevention in case there is a stomach virus going around, take 1-2 tablespoons of juice before meals.
  • Wheatgrass powder is supposedly effective for treating diarrhea from irritable bowel syndrome. Mix a double or triple dose in a glass of water. Follow this glass with a glass of plain water.
  • Mango seeds powder with or without honey are priceless for diarrhea.
  • Juices of fruits may be taken after the acute indications are over. After the condition improves, meals can be enlarged steadily to include cooked vegetables, whole rice, and soured milk. Raw foods should be taken only after the patient totally recovers. This is one of the best home remedies for diarrhea.

General guidelines to improve memory

There are some basic things you can do to improve your ability to retain and retrieve memories:
  • Pay attention. You can’t remember something if you never learned it, and you can’t learn something — that is, encode it into your brain — if you don’t pay enough attention to it. It takes about eight seconds of intent focus to process a piece of information through your hippocampus and into the appropriate memory center. So, no multitasking when you need to concentrate! If you distract easily, try to receive information in a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted.
  • Tailor information acquisition to your learning style. Most people are visual learners; they learn best by reading or otherwise seeing what it is they have to know. But some are auditory learners who learn better by listening. They might benefit by recording information they need and listening to it until they remember it.
  • Involve as many senses as possible. Even if you’re a visual learner, read out loud what you want to remember. If you can recite it rhythmically, even better. Try to relate information to colors, textures, smells and tastes. The physical act of rewriting information can help imprint it onto your brain.
  • Relate information to what you already know. Connect new data to information you already remember, whether it’s new material that builds on previous knowledge, or something as simple as an address of someone who lives on a street where you already know someone.
  • Organize information. Write things down in address books and datebooks and on calendars; take notes on more complex material and reorganize the notes into categories later. Use both words and pictures in learning information.
  • Understand and be able to interpret complex material. For more complex material, focus on understanding basic ideas rather than memorizing isolated details. Be able to explain it to someone else in your own words.
  • Rehearse information frequently and “over-learn”. Review what you’ve learned the same day you learn it, and at intervals thereafter. What researchers call “spaced rehearsal” is more effective than “cramming.” If you’re able to “over-learn” information so that recalling it becomes second nature, so much the better.
  • Be motivated and keep a positive attitude. Tell yourself that you want to learn what you need to remember, and that you can learn and remember it. Telling yourself you have a bad memory actually hampers the ability of your brain to remember, while positive mental feedback sets up an expectation of success.

What is the home remedies for Diabetes?

  • The seeds of parslane are helpful in diabetes. A teaspoon of the seeds should be taken each day with half a cup of water for four to five months. It will boost the body\'s own insulin and help in curing diabetes.
  • Prepare a mixture by adding equal quantities of turmeric powder and dried gooseberry powder with honey or drink equal quantities of gooseberry juice and fresh turmeric juice in an empty stomach daily.
  • Home Remedies for diabetes are cereals, sugar and preparations should not be taken for some time. The other method of treating the disease is by fasting for a couple of days and then eating sour fruit only for a week during which green vegetables may also be alternated with the fruits.
  • Curd made from cow’s milk must form and inevitable part of the every meal. If the curd is not available, about 50 grammes of germinated gram may be taken with every meal. After about a fortnight of this regimen, the patient can take bread made of whole flour.
  • Put mango leaves in a glass of water and let it stand for a few hours, then take the leaves out and keep the mango water in the refrigerator. Every morning, before you eat anything, drink 1 cup of the mango water you made.
  • Celery, cucumbers, string beans, onion 24 and garlic are highly fruitful for lowering blood sugar. Wash green plantain and peel it, put that peel in a jar, cover with water and drink this water three to four times in a day. This is one of the natural home remedies for diabetes.
  • Fenugreek seeds are good for gestational diabetes also. Don't roast it sun dry it and immediately powder it. Chew and swallow 10 curry leaves every day, which is also good to control diabetes. Avoid sugar in tea and coffee and occasionally if you want can have a piece of sweet. When you have sweets occasionally, that day you must reduce your other carbohydrate foods. Avoid banana and have orange or sweet lime for mid morning. Include plenty of raw salad in both your meals.
  • Take some tender guava leaves, and 3 grams of cumin seeds. Crush them together. Boil with one glass of water till reduces to half. Drink 2-3 times a day. It is one of the effective home remedies for diabetes.

What is depression?

Learning about depression—including its signs, symptoms, causes, and treatment—is the first step to overcoming the problem.

We all go through ups and downs in our mood. Sadness is a normal reaction to life’s struggles, setbacks, and disappointments. Many people use the word “depression” to explain these kinds of feelings, but depression is much more than just sadness.
Some people describe depression as “living in a black hole” or having a feeling of impending doom. However, some depressed people don't feel sad at all—instead, they feel lifeless, empty, and apathetic.

Whatever the symptoms, depression is different from normal sadness in that it engulfs your day-to-day life, interfering with your ability to work, study, eat, sleep, and have fun. The feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, and worthlessness are intense and unrelenting, with little, if any, relief.

Depression varies from person to person, but there are some common signs and symptoms. It’s important to remember that these symptoms can be part of life’s normal lows. But the more symptoms you have, the stronger they are, and the longer they’ve lasted—the more likely it is that you’re dealing with depression. When these symptoms are overwhelming and disabling, that's when it's time to seek help.
Common signs and symptoms of depression:
  • Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. A bleak outlook—nothing will ever get better and there’s nothing you can do to improve your situation.
  • Loss of interest in daily activities. No interest in former hobbies, pastimes, social activities, or sex. You’ve lost your ability to feel joy and pleasure.
  • Appetite or weight changes. Significant weight loss or weight gain—a change of more than 5% of body weight in a month.
  • Sleep changes. Either insomnia, especially waking in the early hours of the morning, or oversleeping (also known as hypersomnia).
  • Irritability or restlessness. Feeling agitated, restless, or on edge. Your tolerance level is low; everything and everyone gets on your nerves.
  • Loss of energy. Feeling fatigued, sluggish, and physically drained. Your whole body may feel heavy, and even small tasks are exhausting or take longer to complete.
  • Self-loathing. Strong feelings of worthlessness or guilt. You harshly criticize yourself for perceived faults and mistakes.
  • Concentration problems. Trouble focusing, making decisions, or remembering things.
  • Unexplained aches and pains. An increase in physical complaints such as headaches, back pain, aching muscles, and stomach pain.

The different colors in fruits and vegetables help our immune system react to different stresses in our daily life. So look at the different colors in your diet. See if they include each of the colors listed below. This is one way to know that you are getting the full benefit of nutrients possible in your diet.


  • Green Foods – broccoli, kale, leaf and romaine lettuce, spinach, cabbage and Brussels sprouts. Green foods are especially good for the circulatory system. They contain many minerals and B-complex vitamins. Some phytochemicals found in green foods are sulforaphane and indoles that are very powerful anti-cancer compounds. Researchers have tried to use these as isolated phytochemicals but find that they only work while in the whole food form.
  • Red Foods – tomatoes, watermelon, red cabbage.Red foods contain many phytochemicals that reduce free radical damage. The phytochemical called lycopene is especially helpful to prevent prostate problems, and reduce the effects of sun damage on the skin. Lycopene is the phytochemical that make the red foods get their red color.
  • Orange Foods – carrots, pumpkin, squash, sweet potatoes, apricots, cantaloupe.The orange foods have the carotenoids the help prevent cancer by repairing the DNA. As our mothers told us, carrots, and other orange foods, are especially good for our eyes, and help with night vision. The deep orange foods help our bodies get the vitamin A we need, without getting excess that can lead to osteoporosis.
  • Green/Yellow Foods – yellow corn, green peas, collard greens, avocado and honeydew melon.This combination of green and yellow foods contains the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin that help reduce the risk of developing cataracts and macular degeneration. These foods are also helpful in reducing the risk of osteoporosis.
  • Orange /Yellow Foods – oranges, pineapple, tangerines, peaches, papaya, nectarines These foods that are orange and yellow in color are high in antioxidants, especially Vitamin C, and help to improve the health of the mucus membranes and connective tissue. They help prevent heart disease by improving circulation and preventing inflammation.
  • White/Green Foods – onions, garlic, celery, pears, chivesWhite and green combination foods contain a variety of phytochemicals. Garlic and onions contain allicin, the anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal phytochemical, and they can act as a poor man’s antibiotic. Add garlic and onions in your meals to reduce the effects of potential toxicity of high fat meats. Celery has many minerals, especially organic sodium, that keeps the fluid in the joints healthy.
